mCherry+ cells dividing at the surface of the ventricle. This movie was captured 24 h following pGlast-Cre × pTα1-SL electroporation of an E14.5 embryo. A VZ cell expressing mCherry descends to the surface of the ventricle and divides. This cell maintains its basal process throughout the mitosis, indicating that it is an RGC. Total elapsed imaging duration = 5 h.
