IL-11 is critical for A₁AR-mediated renal protection against ischemic AKI. (A) Plasma creatinine values obtained from mice subjected to sham operation or to 30 minutes of renal ischemia and 24 hours of reperfusion (RIR). IL-11 WT or IL-11R–deficient (IL-11R KO) mice were treated with vehicle or with a selective A₁AR agonist (CCPA, 0.1 mg/kg) 15 minutes before sham operation to renal IR.
