Shift in mandible shape from exclusively insectivorous and carnivorous morphologies (orange and brown polygons) in the Late Triassic–Middle Jurassic to include folivorous, granivorous and frugivorous morphologies (green and purple polygons) by the Late Cretaceous. Mesozoic mandible shapes are projected onto the first two principal component axes of the geometric morphometric space from figure 2.
