Increased endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) monomerization after transient focal ischemia. Western blot (A) and quantitative analyses (B). Non-reducing low-temperature SDS-PAGE was performed to assess eNOS dimer and monomer levels. Increased eNOS monomers were observed in the middle cerebral artery (MCA) core and peripheral area 24 and 48 hours after ischemia.
