In the chartings (A–C), both BDA-labeled axon terminals (black stipple) and BDA-labeled neurons (black dots) are demonstrated to occur at high densities within the cMRF, with an ipsilateral predominance. WGA-HRP-labeled neurons (red diamonds) are present bilaterally in the cMRF and lie within the tectal termination zone.
