Expression of vpr induces mitotic defects in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were electroporated with pVpr-IRES-EGFP. After 6 h, EGFP expressing cells were isolated by FACS sorting and replated on coverslips. Eighteen hours later, cells were fixed and stained with anti-γ-tubulin antibodies and DAPI.
