(a), Relationship of velocity (V1) and height (H) on one spindle-knot. The V1 is increasing with H, there is a fitting relationship: V1 ~ [−0.15 exp (−H/204.65) + 0.16] (m s−1). It is estimated V1, max ~ 0.1 m s−1 at H ~ 217.5 μm. (b), Relationship of velocity (V2) and height ratio (H2/H1) of adjacent spindle-knots. The V2 is rapidly increasing with the H2/H1, until H2/H1 ~ 2.25, subsequently, slows down. It is estimated V2, max ~ 0.22 m s−1 at H2/H1 ~ 2.25.
