(a), The movement process of water drops hanging on a single spindle-knot. The length of movement (La) is ~1.86 mm with time of ~23.8 ms. (b), Water drops directional movement between two spindle-knots with different sizes. α1 and α2 are the angle of liquid surface with S1 and S2 respectively. The angle α1 is decreasing in the process for a stable state and α2 is almost unchanged. The length of movement (Lb) is ~0.873 mm with time of ~21.0 ms. Scale bars, 250 μm.
