NOTE. Population includes 12,691 men diagnosed with testicular nonseminoma as a first primary cancer (International Classification of Diseases for Oncology, Third Edition, codes: 9065, 9070 to 9073, 9080 to 9085, 9100 to 9102), initially managed with chemotherapy (n = 6,013) or surgical approaches alone (n = 6,678) and who survived ≥ 2 months. The sparse number of patients with testicular nonseminoma who were given radiotherapy (n = 93) precluded further evaluation.

Abbreviations: NOS, not otherwise specified; RT, radiotherapy.

Surgical procedures defined as initial by the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program are those that are part of the original treatment plan at diagnosis.
