Quantifying the expansion of Kd-binding B cells at day 7 after immunization with BALB/c (B/c) or BALB.B (B.b) splenocytes. The total number of cells recovered, percentage of Kd Tet-DP B cells of B220+ cells, and total number of Kd Tet-DP B cells from (a) the draining lymph node (DLN) compared to the contralateral non-DLN (NDLN); or (b) from the DLN of mice immunized with BALB/c or BALB.B splenocytes. Data are the mean and SEM of three mice per group. In (a) only one side of the mouse was immunized with BALB/c splenocytes to allow the retrieval of draining and non-draining lymph nodes, whereas in (b) both sides of the mouse were immunized with BALB/c or BALB.B splenocytes.
