Parasites were cultivated at 25°C in Schneider's medium supplemented with 20% of fetal bovine serum (control) or FBS-medium treated with 25, 50, 100, 140 or 180 µM 2,2-dipyridyl. The growth curve was monitored daily for eight days. Counts were performed in a hemocytometer. Bars represent means and standard errors obtained from three independent experiments.
