Capsaicin (Cap, 200 nM, 30 s; arrows) was applied 1 min after the onset of NaHS perfusion (200 μM, 2.5 min; filled horizontal bars), and a KCl solution (60 mM, 20 s; arrows) was applied to test the cell vitality at the end of both experiments.
