The HBDs of IGFBP-2 decrease fat pad triglyceride content and serum adiponectin levels, whereas HBD2 stimulates serum leptin in IGFBP-2^−/− mice. IGFBP-2^−/− mice were treated as described in the legend of Figure 3. At the end of week 12, blood was collected from each mouse before they were euthanized.
