Distorting lenses worn by observers in Experiment 2. Each lens was an afocal unilateral magnifier. The lenses were rotated in opposite directions in the two eyes by ±ω/2°, creating a horizontal shear disparity of ω° in the projection of vertical lines. The lenses also created a vertical shear disparity of −ω° in the projection of horizontal lines.
