Degradation of viral proteins in influenza virus by N₂ gas plasma. Quantity of influenza B virus (GF21: B/Gifu/2/73) derived from infected allantoic fluid before and after treatment with N₂ gas plasma. Allantoic fluid (20 μL) was dried on a cover glass and treated with N₂ gas plasma at 1.5 kpps for 0 or 5 min. The quantity of NP of influenza B virus was measured by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay against NP. Asterisk indicates a significant difference (P < 0.05) when compared with 0 min.
