The values in the classification table are shown as follows. For each age group the standard deviation (s) of TAPSE was taken to construct ranges of the mean ± 2s and ± 3s. These ranges represent the expectable normal intervals of deviation for a certainty level of 95% and 99%. Further the mean, the minimum and the maximum of BSA was calculated for the several age groups. An index was calculated of the TAPSE mean for age divided by the BSA mean for each age group.
