The Akt2 synthetic peptide (410–437) or a control peptide (spanning amino acids 425–452 of cdc25C) were microinjected into quiescent human myoblasts and cells were fixed 40 minutes after to avoid peptide degradation before immunofluorescence to detect endogenous p21cip1 and check for its localization/stabilization.
