Significant decreases in neuronal nuclei size were recorded in all groups between proximal and distal regions after 1 week (ap<0.05). Proximal to the defect site, PCL-TCP implants recorded a significantly smaller neuronal nuclei size as compared to PCL (bp<0.05), and which was comparable to that of the control. The results are an average of 800 measurements over three images per implant group.
