SINV^Heavy and SINV^C6/36 contain host-derived rRNAs. The 18S rRNA content per infectious particle was quantitatively analyzed for nuclease-treated purified SINV^Light, SINV^Heavy, and SINV^C6/36 particles (see Materials and Methods for details). Titers were determined using BHK-21 cells. rRNA contents were determined by qRT-PCR following treatment of intact particles with RNase A and RNase V1. Data are mean values for a minimum of three independent biological replicates. Error bars represent standard deviations.
