In this experiment, animals were not sensitized or exposed to ovalbumin. LDH activity was significantly higher in the plasma of the empty nanoparticle (NP) treated animals (374.2±98.9 milliunits/ml) compared to either the PBS control (147.3±49.65 milliunits/ml) or Dex-NP treated animal (191.1±66.2 milliunits/ml, p<0.01 by one-way ANOVA).
