In OVA-challenged animals, Dex-NP significantly decreased the lung lavage content of IL-4 compared to PBS control (3.43±1.2 (n = 11) vs. 8.56±2.1 (n = 8) pg/ml, p<0.05), while Dex alone did not. IL-13 levels in lung lavage fluid were significantly decreased in only the Dex treated animals compared to the Ova control animals.
