Fusion oncogenes were significantly more prevalent in radiation-exposed cases (P = 6.5E-0.5, Fisher’s exact test). (B) Circos plot of rearrangements detected in radiation-exposed cancers. Breakpoints were assumed to lie in the middle of the introns immediately upstream and downstream of the fused exons, respectively. Rearrangements were color coded as follows: red, drivers; gray, unvalidated fusions. The thickness of the lines indicates the frequency of the fusion. Intrachromosomal rearrangements were the most prevalent events.
