DNase I footprints of tetraintercalators 2 – 4 with sequence A. Lane 1 contains undigested DNA. Lane 2 contains an adenine-specific cleavage reaction.34 Lane 3 contains digested DNA with no intercalator. Lanes 4 – 7 contain increasing concentration of intercalator. For 2, lanes 4 – 7 contain 13, 25, 50, and 100 nM intercalator. For 3 and 4, lanes 4 – 7 contain 25, 50, 100, and 150 nM intercalator.
