Dissemination and colonization of wild-type and mutant Edwardsiella tarda in fish tissues. Turbot were infected with E. tarda TX01 or TXivy via immersion. Bacterial recovery from blood, kidney, liver, and spleen was determined at 0, 1, and 2 days postinfection and is presented as the number of CFU per gram of tissue (kidney/liver/spleen) or per milliliter of blood.
