Effect of cells on cleavage of 125I-CgA by plasmin. Either PC12 cells (1.0 × 107/ml) (filled bars) or buffer (open bars) were incubated with 2.2 μM unlabeled plasminogen (pgn) for 30 minutes at 37°C. Then 125I-CgA (50 nM) and t-PA (3 nM) were added in either the presence or absence of 0.1 M EACA and further incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The reactions were stopped by addition of 1250 U/ml Trasylol and centrifuged. The supernatants were analyzed for percentage of TCA precipitability. Results are mean ± SEM; n = 6 for each experimental group. AP < 0.001 compared with each of the other experimental groups.
