Decreased nicotine-mediated catecholamine release from PC12 cells overexpressing t-PA. PC12 CS1F9 cells overexpressing t-PA or control-transfected cells were treated with 60 μM nicotine (open bars) or buffer (solid bars) in the presence of 2 μM plasminogen at 37°C for 30 minutes. Results are mean ± SEM; n = 6 for each experimental group. AP < 0.001 compared with nicotine-stimulated control cells.
