Circulating tumor microembolus (CTM) from undifferentiated non-small-cell lung cancer patient detected after two cycles of chemotherapy. Patient’s blood sample was submitted to ISET filtration and CTM were identified, by hematoxylin-eosin staining, as groups or clusters of tumor cells containing three or more distinct nuclei. The black arrow shows the 8 µm pore in the ISET membrane.
