Whole-cell biotransformations of 1 g l⁻¹ dodecanoic acid with resting E. coli JM109 cells containing empty pJOE, pJOE-CPR2 or pJOE-CPR2_mut. Cell suspensions were 50 g_cww l⁻¹. Cells were fed with additional C-source at 0, 4, 8 and 12 h. Product yield coefficients (Y_P/S) correspond to grams of total products per gram substrate.
