(A) RT-PCR analysis of molecular markers of gut epithelial differentiation in response to forced expression of either GFP (CTL) alone, GFP-tagged HDAC1 and HDAC2 (HDA), or mutant HDAC forms with internal deletions (Mut). Explant RNA was isolated 24 and 48 h after transfection. The deletion mutants reveal specificity of HDAC effects.
