Plants were grown at 21°C under (A) long day and (B) short day. The figure shows the increased height, branching, shoot biomass (FW) and seed yield typical of all the SDG8i transgenic lines. Dry seed was collected following senescence. The biomass was measured 16 days (LD) and 50 days (SD) after germination and before bolting. Values are the means ± SE of 5 replicates. The transgenic plant grown in short days has been tied with cotton thread.
