After knock-down of BGN in human J82 cells in vitro the transduced cells were injected bilaterally into the flanks of nude mice and tumor growth was monitored over a period of 7 weeks. As a result the tumor volume was significantly higher after application of J82 cells transduced with shRNA targeting BGN compared to scrambled control (375 mm² vs. 204 mm²); n=6, ***p<0.001.
