The effect of RPA on transcription was analysed by in vitro transcription experiments either in the absence or in the presence of increasing amounts of RPA (10 nM, lane 2; 20 nM, lane 3; 30 nM, lane 4; 50 nM, lane 5). The presence or absence of TBP or TFB is indicated on top of the lanes. The effect of RPA on transcription activity from three replicates was quantified by phosphorimaging (Fujifilm FLA-5000) and indicated as activation fold, with standard deviation, at the bottom of each lane.
