Confocal fluorescence/reflection images of the micropermeability of resin-dentin interfaces. (A) Resin-bonded dentin interfaces created with hydrophobic resin 1 applied on acid-etched ethanol wet-dentin showed severe micropermeability of rhodamine-B along the walls of the tubules (t) and within adhesive (a) and hybrid layers (hi). Several voids were detected entrapped between the resin dentin interfaces. (B) Resin-bonded dentin interfaces created with resin 2 applied on ethanol wet-dentin that was conditioned with EDTA for 60s showed slight micropermeability of rhodamine-B only along the walls of the tubules (t).
