Table 1 summarizes the levels of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, TNFα, MCP-1 and IL-18 that were determined simultaneously in serum and pancreatic whole-tissue homogenate samples using the Luminex multiplex approach. All serum and whole-tissue samples were expressed in pg/ml serum or pg/mg protein (n=4). *P≤0.05 versus pair-fed control; **P≤0.05 versus alcohol-fed; ^&P≤0.05 versus pair-fed 3 h after LPS; ^$P≤0.05 versus pair-fed 24 h after LPS
