After incubation with total extract or saponin of KRG (SKRG) for 24 h, cell viability was measured using a water soluble tetrazolium salt-1 assay. (B) Melan-A melanocytes (1×105 cells/well) were cultured in 24 well plates. The melanin content of the cells was measured after incubation with total extract, SKRG (100, 20, 4, and 0.8 ppm), or 50 μM phenylthiourea (PTU) for 72 h.
