Brain sections are shown from North Island brown kiwi (Apteryx mantelli), bar-tailed godwit (Limosa lapponica), Eurasian woodcock (Scolopax rusticola), South Island oystercatcher (Haematopus finschi), black-winged stilt (Himantopus himantopus), and masked lapwing (Vanellus miles).
