Figure 2. Cytokine effect on TGF-β-induced apoE production.

PBMC (100×10³ cells/well) in medium containing 10 ng/ml TGF-β ( =  medium only) were incubated for 20 hours together with different cytokines. All cytokines were used at 10 ng/ml. Results are depicted as relative spot numbers obtained by dividing the number of apoE spots in cytokine-containing wells with the number of spots in wells with cells in medium without TGF-β. Tests were performed with 8 donors and results are shown as means ± SD, ** p<0.01.
