(A) W303-1A wild type cells transformed with YEpeGFP-RBD3 were grown in medium containing 2% glucose at 30°C until exponential phase. Pictures were taken, before (0 min) and after addition of either KCl (control cells) or KOH to raise the pH to 8.0. (B) Ras2-GTP/total Ras2 levels after addition of KOH to raise the pH to 8.0 to cells of the wild type W303–1A strain.
