Lower panel, shown is a co-immunoprecipitation experiment. QT6 cells were transfected with expression vectors for vectors for HA-tagged kinase-dead Hipk2, C/EBPα, and C/EBPβ, as indicated at the bottom. After 24 h the cells were harvested, and aliquots of the total cell extracts (TCE) were immunoprecipitated (IP) with antibodies against C/EBPβ or C/EBPα followed by Western blotting (WB) of the immunoprecipitate samples with antibodies against the HA tag or against the C/EBP proteins. The black and white arrowheads mark Hipk2 and the C/EBP proteins, respectively.
