The A549 cells were treated with media, noninduced cells (a) or saffron extract 200 μg/mL (b) or 400 μg/mL (c) induced cells, for 48 hours. Cells were labeled with FAMVAD-FMK for 1 hour, washed, and analyzed. Caspase activity was detected using a BD FACSCalibur flow cytometer.
