SDF-1α (20 μg) and SDF-1α NP (13 μg SDF-1α content) were aerosolized into the lungs of rats. At the indicated timepoints, lung tissues were harvested and homogenized. The concentrations of SDF-1α in the supernatants of the homogenates were determined by ELISA, and plotted as percentages of that in the tissue harvested at 0 hr. Data are presented as mean ± SEM, n = 4–8 rats per group. Data are fitted to monophasic exponential decay curves.
