(A–D) Expression of the At4g35985 gene (A–B) and At4g35987 gene (C–D) under stress treatments. Three-week-old Arabidopsis seedlings (Col-0) were subjected to 150 mM NaCl, 200 mM NaCl, 300 mM Mannitol, 500 mM Mannitol and cold treatment (4°C); after 6 hr and 24 hr of stress treatment, total RNA was extracted from seedling and relative transcript abundance measured by qRT-PCR. Data represents mean ± SD of three biological samples each time with four replicates for various treatments. Asterisk and double asterisks indicate the significant deviation from untreated line (control) at P<0.05 and P<0.01, respectively using Student's t test for comparison between control and each treatment separately in all the cases.
