Lipid peroxidation in sham operated and SC injured rats. Lipid peroxidation was quantified in plasma at 3 h (a) 7 (b) and 14 days (c) after SC injury. MLIF reduced lipid peroxidation at all evaluated time points, however, the difference between MLIF- and PBS-treated rats was only statistically significant 3 h after injury (*P < 0.05; Kruskal-Wallis test).
