Nrf2 over-expression significantly increased the ARE promoter activity in NCCs. NCCs transfected with control vector and pNQO1 ARE-luciferase plasmid or Nrf2 expression vector and pNQO1 ARE-luciferase plasmid were treated with 100 mM ethanol for 24 hours. The firefly luciferase activities were measured as described in the Methods.
