FIGURE 6. — Ectopic p62 promotes co-localization of caspase-8 aggregates with LC3 at the autophagosome. HCT116 cells with stable expression of mCherry-LC3 were stably transfected with a retroviral 3tag-p62 (versus empty control (EV)) and transiently transfected with procaspase-8 (C360A)-VN and procaspase-8 (C360A)-VC. The cells were then treated with ABT-263 and imaged to determine the localization of fluorescent caspase-8-Venus and mCherry-LC3 by confocal microscopy. Co-localization is shown in the merged images.
