KsgA deficiency reduces tolerance to oxidative stress in S. Enteritidis. Oxidative stress response was assessed as average percentage of survival ± SD after treatment with 15 mM H2O2 for 30 min at 42°C in the S. Enteritidis ksgA::Tn5, ksgA::Tn5-pACYC184-ksgA, and wild-type (WT) parent strains.
