IE1 and WSV056 modulate cell cycle progression by binding to RBF1. S2 cells were harvested 24 h after transfection with EGFP, IE1-EGFP, IE1C216G-EGFP, WSV056-EGFP, or WSV056C217G-EGFP. After fixation with 70% ethanol, cells were treated with RNase A and then stained with 40 μg/ml PI solution. (A) The cellular DNA content was determined with a BD FACSCalibur flow cytometer. Ten thousand events in the EGFP-positive gate were read for each sample. Mofit LT software was used to determine the distribution of cells in each phase of the cell cycle (G₁/G₀, S, and G₂/M).
