(A) Mice treated with these liposomes had tumors significantly smaller than those treated with liposomes containing scrambled siRNA sequence or left untreated. The histology of tumors in these mice also indicated (B) downregulated EGF receptor expression, (C) upregulated glial fibrillary acidic protein, indicating a change in phenotype, (D) increased apoptosis by TUNEL staining and (E) decreased proliferating cell nuclear antigen.
