Mouse livers contain both high (H)-lipid and low (L)-lipid subpopulations of hepatocytes. A: C56BL/6 male mice (11–12 wk) were fed a normal chow diet. Triacylglycerol (TAG) levels were measured in hepatocytes freshly isolated from mice under fed conditions and normalized to total protein levels (n = 4).
