Lentiviruses containing an expression construct for mock or Tat were injected stereotaxically into the hippocampus of APP/PS1 mice. After 4 months, sections of brain were stained with Aβ antibody and the number and size of plaques were determined using Axiovision software (Carl Zeiss). Results represent the mean ± s.d.
